AFTER facing criticism from users, WhatsApp is bringing back a camera feature for Apple iOS devices.
The popular communication app’s recent 22.4.0.72 beta update saw both iOS and Android users’ access to the camera media bar change.

The feature initially allowed WhatsApp users to quickly access and scroll through photos and videos to share with friends and family on the app.
However, after the Meta-owned company’s recent beta update, the feature is now devoid of the scrollable tool, relegating its access to just one image at a time.
This, in turn, created more actions for users to send images and videos, leading to much backlash and complaints.
Although, now it seems the app, which boasts more than one billion users worldwide, is reversing its course of action – at least, for iOS users, according to WAbetaInfo.
The decision to bring back the ‘scrolling’ feature seems to be a big hit with WhatsApp users who took to Twitter to share their joy.
“It felt like I was using Signal when that was gone. Nice that they reverted it,” one user said.

“Good thing [WhatsApp] did that,” a second user wrote, following their remark with a series of thumbs-up emojis.
If you’re an iPhone user and are signed up for the TestFlight bet program (available for free on the Apple store), you can download and install WhatsApp beta version 22.5.0.70 for iOS, according to TechRadar.
Once installed, this version of the app should restore the scrollable media camera bar on WhatsApp.
