A whopping 26 years after the very first game was released, the latest instalment of the franchise has just hit stores.

Pokemon Legends: Arceus is available to play on the Nintendo Switch, will be available to buy at a range of UK and US retailers.

This new entry in the Pokémon canon is something of a game-changer (no pun intended) – it’s set in the Sinnoh region’s distant past, and is much more of an action role-playing game than previous games.

We haven’t yet played Arceus but various details have already been shared by the developer Game Freak, including which Pokemon will feature in the game.

And it hasn’t been without its controversy either, with fans reacting wildly to the ‘sexy’ design of Pokemon Lopunny.
