FOUR major supermarkets are in competition to win your delivery business.

Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Asda and Morrisons are all offering delivery passes so customers who order online don’t have to pay for each individual drop-off of groceries to their door.

Which supermarket offers free next-day delivery & has cheapest delivery passes?

Plus, if you don’t save money compared to the cost of individual deliveries, these supermarket giants will all refund you in vouchers.

But you’ll always have to spend at least £40 or there are extra charges. Meanwhile, if you choose to shop with Iceland, you don’t need a delivery pass to guarantee a free next-day delivery.

Here’s where to get the best value.

TESCO: A pass costs £47.94 for six months, which is £1.84 per delivery if you shop weekly. Without the pass you pay between £2.50 and £7 per delivery.

SAINSBURY’S: An anytime delivery pass is £40 for six months, or £80 for a year. A midweek (Tuesday to Thursday) pass is £40 a year. It works out at £1.54 for one delivery a week, or 77p if you go for the midweek option. Without a pass it costs £1 to £5 per delivery.

ASDA: An anytime 12-month pass is £72 and a midweek pass (Tuesday to Thursday) is £35. The midweek pass works out at just 67p per delivery if you shop weekly. Without the pass you’d pay £1-£4.50 per order.

MORRISONS: Anytime delivery is £65 a year, £40 for six months or £8 per month. Midweek passes are £35 a year, £20 for six months or £5 per month. Like Asda, the annual midweek pass works out at just 67p per delivery if you use it once a week. Without a pass you’d pay between £2 and £5.50 per order.

ICELAND: Doesn’t do passes, but you get free next-day delivery on orders over £40, which is a fantastic deal.

VERDICT: Iceland’s free next-day delivery deal is unbeatable value, but it doesn’t have the range of produce others offer. Asda and Morrisons are cheapest, especially if you opt for midweek passes. Discounters Aldi and Lidl don’t do deliveries.
