Co-op and Nisa stocked the item, according to the Food Standards Agency

The specific item that’s affected is the Yoplait Frubes Strawberry, Red Berry and Peach variety pack.

The batch code is 9218195 and it has a use by date of February 9, 2022 – only packs with a C after the date are affected.

Small pieces of metal have been found in the peach flavoured yogurt in the multipack, making it unsafe to eat.

The Food Standards Agency said the multipacks had been stocked in Co-op and Nisa stores.

If you’ve purchased the product, do not eat it as it might not be safe.

Instead you should return it to the store where you bought if for a full refund.

The UK’s biggest supermarkets had to recall a variety of products this week due to concerns they could cause serious illness.

Raw pastry and pizza dough products were taken off the shelves at Tesco, Aldi, Morrisons, Sainsbury’s and Asda over food poisoning fears.

The manufacturer Bake Away said it had found traces of salmonella in the items.

Lidl was forced to issue an urgent recall in December after traces of salmonella was detected in some Christmas treats.

Other recent warnings have included a carbonara with allergens missing from the label and chocolate ice creams that mistakenly contained plastic.
