A NEW mockup has been revealed for the highly-anticipated iPhone 14, suggesting some new changes for the front screen.

A viral image of what the iPhone 14 could potentially look like has started circulating both the internet and ‘leaked’ media sites.

The iPhone 13 feature a smaller notch but still takes away from valuable screen space.

The mock-up image was shared by developer Jeff Grossman on Twitter (@Jeffrey903) on January 9, 2022, and has since been liked and retweeted by thousands of Twitter users.

The image displayed an iPhone with a small pill-shaped cutout at the top of the front screen.

The cutout, which is centered and placed slightly below the bezel, is vastly different than the notch design that has been present on iPhones since 2017.

Apple was widely mocked for its notch design initially, though the firm was copied by Android rivals soon after.

However, since then, Samsung and Huawei have both abandoned the design, while Apple has stuck by it.

Still, Apple did make the notch smaller on the iPhone 13, though it didn’t really change much on the home screen in terms of screen space.

This new design, however, if implemented by Apple, would offer a lot more screen space on either side of the cut-out.

The cutout would also be the first huge design change to the iPhone’s front in several years.

This isn’t the first time we’ve heard rumors about a notch-less iPhone.

Widely respected analyst Ming-Chi Kuo of TF Securities has suggested that we’ll see a no-notch iPhone 14.

And long-time Apple leaker and Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman has said the same.

Apple is likely to launch the iPhone 14 series in September this year.

The series is expected to feature four models, including a 6.1-inch iPhone 14 and a 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Pro Max.
