TESCO shoppers might be wondering what time stores are open over the Christmas period.
Changes vary depending on which branch you’re planning on visiting, so you can check exact timings using Tesco’s store locator.
All 3,400 Tesco stores will be shut on Christmas Day.
On Christmas Eve, most larger stores will be open from midnight to around 7pm.
Tesco Express and Metro shops are more often open for business from 6am to 10pm, but it varies locally.
What are Tesco’s opening hours over the New Year period?
On New Year’s Eve, Tesco’s 370 larger stores will open at their usual time and close earlier at 7pm.
Express stores close at 10pm and petrol stations usually shut an hour after the main stores – apart from in London, where fillers close at 10pm.
In Scotland, Tesco’s Extras and Superstores will open from 11am until 6pm, with Metro and Express stores opening from 10am to 6pm.
In Northern Ireland, Extras, Superstores and Metros will open from 10am to 6pm.
But for smaller Tesco sites, it’s best to double check your local opening hours.
What are Tesco’s opening hours for Boxing Day?
Tesco Extras will be open from 9am until 6pm.
And Express sites will open at 9am and close at 7pm.
In Northern Ireland, Extras and Superstores will be from 10am to 6pm.
From the December 27 till December 30, all stores will open at their usual hours.
