A ROOM in London has gone on the market for a rock-bottom price – but the new tenant will have quite a shock when they move in.
The space in Willesden, north-west of the capital, is available for just £450 a month, despite its proximity to the city centre.

However, there’s an excellent reason for the low rent.
The space features just a bed and a kitchen – and the room is so tiny that the occupant will be able to cook their dinner while tucked up under the duvet.
The property, in High Road, appears to have been designed solely as a kitchen.
It features a fridge, hob and sink, as well as cupboards.
The enterprising landlord has attempted to transform the space into living quarters simply by pushing in a small futon.
When the mattress is fully extended, the tenant will find themselves unable to fully open the fridge or the oven.
TIGHT FIT
Meanwhile, the only cupboard space for clothes and possessions can be found behind the sofa.
It means whoever moves in must either be very organised or incredibly frugal.
The property features four ‘bedrooms’ in total, as well as two shared bathrooms.
On the brighter side, it’s close to Tube stations Turnpike Lane and Alexandra Palace.
It’s also close to plenty of shops and restaurants, with a McDonald’s just moments away from the front door.
Flat-hunters on a budget will know it’s notoriously hard to find a nice home in London.
FLAT-HUNTING WOES
One astonishingly bleak property is on the market for more than £1,000 a month, despite having an alarming hidden bedroom.
The studio flat, in trendy Hackney, East London, features a mattress stashed away on a platform.
The occupant faces climbing a ladder every time they want to have a nap.
Meanwhile, a tiny flat in Bayswater, west of the city, costs £1,250 a month, but doesn’t come with its own toilet.
As you’d imagine, the situation in the city is much better for those with plenty of cash.
