A HISTORICAL painting of the Nativity scene has conspiracy theorists convinced of ancient aliens.
A painting called the “Madonna and Child with the Infant St John” continues to cause debate between art experts and ufologists.

The painting is located in Florence and is said to depict the Navity and features a baby Jesus and Saint John the Baptist.
The painting is thought to date back to the 16th century but is of unknown origin.
More mystery is added by what some people think is a UFO shape floating in the sky in the painting’s upper right corner.
Conspiracy theorists think the painting is evidence of an ancient UFO sighting and have dubbed it “Madonna of the UFO”.
According to the website Florence Inferno, some art historians think the spikey saucer shape is supposed to be an angel.

This isn’t the first time ufologists have pointed out potential ‘aliens’ in an ancient painting.
Another popular example is a wall mural from 1350 by an unknown artist.
It’s called the Crucifixion of Christ 1350 and two odd-looking objects with ‘pilots’ can be seen in the sky on both sides of Jesus.
There are many explanations for what these symbols represent but some people like to believe they are spaceships.
