John Lewis introduced a buy-back guarantee last year, promising to exchange travel money at the price paid if returned within 35 days. Bring your receipt or order confirmation and proof of ID.
The Post Office and Sainsbury’s will also fully refund holiday currency within 28 days of purchase if a trip is cancelled.
Tesco also says customers can get their travel money exchanged if they have their receipt and proof of cancellation.
Asda says it will refund customers at the purchase price only in very exceptional circumstances.
M&S refunds are at the exchange rate offered on the day, so you could lose some money.
