Bones Day

The “Bones Day” TikTok trend comes courtesy of TikToker Jonathan Graziano and his old dog Noodle.

Each morning, viewers have watched Graziano’s TikTok videos to see whether Noodle the pug stands up or not.

Graziano wakes Noodle up and tries to prop him up but if he flops back down that means Noodle has “no bones” that day.

If Noodle “has bones”, TikTokers are advised to go and seize the day.

If he does not, it’s a “no bones day” and that means we all get permission from the beloved pug to take it easy.

Graziano’s videos really took off this year and he now has 4.6 million followers.

Understanding the assignment

If you’ve heard the phrase “I understood the assignment” being thrown around a lot, it’s probably because of a song that went viral on TikTok.

Tay Money’s The Assignment has resulted in many TikTok videos of people displaying how they’re the best at what they do.

One popular example is a video of an Amazon delivery driver reading a note and knowing to hide a package from the customer’s husband.

The video from @pinkieberg has 1.7 million likes.

“Oh no! Our table! It’s broken!”

Perhaps one of the strangest audio clips to go viral on TikTok this year was “Oh no! Our table! It’s broken!”.

The trend of trying to mime a small child saying this really took off and resulted in multiple videos getting millions of likes.

Mama said that it was OK

If you needed to justify some of your decisions in 2021 then this would have been the TikTok trend for you.

The “Mama Said” trend involves a clip from a 2015 song of the same name by Lukas Graham.

The song is now associated with mostly wholesome TikTok videos.

Taylor Swift even jumped on the trend by creating a video in which she plays the song and films herself with the message “Country girls can’t do pop”.

She then proceeds to show images of country star Shania Twain to reference her as an inspiration.
