Photo Deals

Nikon Z 6II

Photograph: Nikon

The 24-megapixel full-frame Nikon Z6 II has excellent dynamic range, and the phase-detect autofocus system is one of the best we’ve used. Video quality is also excellent, with 10-bit 4:2:2 N-Log output possible over HDMI. This deal may be a permanent markdown, but either way, it’s a great price for a great camera.

If you can’t decide where to start with Moment’s smartphone lenses, this kit makes a great way to get a well-rounded package without breaking the bank. You can choose two lenses from the many Moment offers, and you also get some nice extras like the case, lens caps, a lens pen, and more. If you ever upgrade to another iPhone, you’ll just need a new Moment iPhone case and drop-in lens mount.

If you feel the need for more photo editing tools, this is a pretty good deal on Adobe’s Photoshop editor (Illustrator and Premiere Pro are also on sale for the same price). It will only apply for the first three months, after which the price will jump back to $21 per month. If your photo editing needs are light, check out GIMP, which can do pretty much anything Photoshop can, and it’s free.

GoPro Hero 10

The Hero10 Black (8/10, WIRED Recommends) isn’t the latest GoPro, but it’s still a great camera. It ekes more resolution out of the 23.6-megapixel sensor and adds much-improved image stabilization over its predecessor. The main place that the new Hero11 trumps this camera is the newer, more square processor, image stabilization, and higher resolution stills from video. Still, for most of us, the quality of results you get from the Hero10 is going to be plenty. It’s cheaper at GoPro directly, just remember to set a reminder to cancel the included 1-year GoPro subscription.

This sling bag works as a cross-body or a fanny pack, and it’s comfy whichever way you wear it. The 2-liter capacity is meant for carrying a slim point-and-shoot, phone, or compact mirrorless camera. It’s made of recycled 500-denier nylon and 210-denier ripstop making it rugged enough for everyday use.

Home Deals

Stasher Bags

Photograph: Amazon

Stasher bags are a WIRED favorite because they easily replace wasteful ziplock bags. Just wash and reuse them to continuously store just about anything. Right now every bag on the website is on sale, we suggest starting with a couple of gallon and quart bags.

Use code Planet15 to see the discount at checkout when you spend $30. These fast-drying biodegradable alternatives to paper towels are made of cellulose and cotton. Unlike typical washcloths, these don’t get smelly or mildewy. You can wash them up to 200 times in your washing machine or the top rack of your dishwasher. In our testing, they started degrading after a couple of months of use but lasted longer than similar products we’ve tried.

Use code PLANET at checkout to see the discount. Avocado Green Mattress makes some of our favorite organic mattresses, toppers, and bedding. Everything on the site is 10 percent off for the next week, including bed frames and pillows.

Bees Wrap

Photograph: Bee’s Wrap

You’ll automatically see the discount at checkout if your order total is over $35. Plastic wrap is annoying. Why is it always getting stuck to itself and not to what you need it to stick to? Use these beeswax wraps from the cleverly named Bees Wraps instead. These are organic cotton with sustainably sourced beeswax (along with jojoba oil and tree resin). The beeswax makes them waterproof. Just be sure to use cold water when rinsing them between uses; hot water could melt off the wax.

Use code Yaasa50 to see the discount at checkout. Our favorite weighted blanket is at one of its lowest prices ever, though it’s only available in the 15-pound size at the moment. It has an open-knit design that feels heavy and cooling, plus it’s just plain pretty. You can only dry clean it.

Outdoor Deals

Nikon Monarch M5

Nikon’s Monarch M5 binoculars are our top pick for most people. These offer great bang for your buck, especially on sale. The 8 X 42 magnification is the most versatile, though if you prefer the larger 10 X 42, those are also on sale for $254 ($25 off)

Our favorite fitness tracker is on sale. The Fitbit 5 (8/10, WIRED Recommends) hits the sweet spot between attractiveness, affordability, accessibility, and ease of use. It’s perfect for everyone who isn’t an ultra-marathoner or a semipro powerlifter. Remember that Fitbit is now owned by Google, which might give you pause, but the hardware is one of the best deals you’ll find.

Icebreaker’s Merino t-shirts are warm, yet somehow cool, and surprisingly good at stopping the wind. These shirts aren’t great in humidity; for that, we suggest a Merino blend. And yes, that’s a lot of money for a T-shirt, but trust us, these are worth it. See our complete guide to Merino wool for more options.

Smartwool Merino Long-Sleeve Base Layer

This one is only available in one color and one size (medium), but if that fits you this is a good deal on one of our favorite Merino wool base layers. An 87 percent Merino wool blend with nylon means it’s incredibly soft and comfortable.

REI is having a sale on all things cycling-related. From a Crankbrothers multi-tool to Nutcase MIPS Helmets, there is something here for everyone. There are also plenty of actual bikes too. We like the Cannondale Quick Women’s for $1,145 ($480 off) and the Electra bikes, which are good starter bikes.
