Going out for dinner can be a much-needed treat for the whole family.

But the cost of eating in restaurants has soared as rising food costs have pushed up menu prices.

To help tackle summer hunger, some of the country’s biggest retailers and chain eateries are offering great deals on children’s meals.

The Sun has put together a list of all the places offering kids free or cheap meals this summer.

There are more than 270 Hungry Horse pubs across the UK, so there’s probably one not too far away where you can take the family out for a cheap meal.

The £1 meal deal includes three courses and a drink and is available for kids up to 11 years old.

Outside of these hours, a three-course meal for kids with a drink is £6.49, or £8.49 for larger portions.

Items on the kids menu include margherita pizza, bolognese pasta and chicken tenders.

There were 76 Bella Italia restaurants across the UK in May.

The garden centre chain lets offers one free meal with any adult main meal, which costs around £9-£12.

Kids can choose from the breakfast or lunch menu, or they can choose a pick n mix lunch box, and they get a drink with their meal.

The offer is only available at major stores and cannot be used in “Little Dobbies” stores.

There is currently no end date on this offer.

Ikea

A trip to Ikea is another fun day out for the family.

The Swedish furniture retailer has massive shops with showrooms that can keep you entertained all day.

And at the end you can treat the kids to a meal for just 95p in selected shops this summer.
