For many cold winter mornings are associated with scraping ice from the car windscreen.

While scraping devices and deicers sprays can help, for many removing ice is an activity that consumes vital time before rush hour.

Now an expert has revealed how an every day item that prevents a windscreen from freezing over.

Aluminium foil, used by many to prevent cars from overheating in the summer, can also be used to protect windscreens in the summer. The item is on sale at B&M for just £3.50.

Mr Hacks London , in a video on TikTok, used the sheet to demonstrate its effectiveness.

In the video he showed how a section of windscreen protected by the foil did not freeze. A section not covered by the foil did ice over.

Mr. Hacks London has 45,000 followers and 1.1million likes.
His platform has some useful tips and this mop remedy is one of them.
